Pan fried 'foie gras' + 'Sauternes' ( it is the best!!)
Foie gras[fwɑ gʁɑ] (French for "fat liver") is "the liver of a duck or a goose that has been specially fattened by gavage" (as defined by French law)
Foie gras is one of the most popular delicacies in French Cuisine and its flavour is described as rich, buttery, and delicate, unlikethat of a regular duck or goose liver. Foie gras can be sold whole, orprepared into mousse, parfait, or pâté (the lowest quality), and is typically served as an accompaniment to another comestible (food item), such as toast or steak.
Sauternes is a type of dessert wine from the Sauternais region of the Graves section in the well known Bordeaux,France..
Sauternes is made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes that have been affected by Botrytis cinerea, also known as noble rot. This causes grapes to become partially raisined, resulting inconcentrated and distinctively flavored wines, typically with anarresting golden color. Sauternes is one of the few wine regions where infection with noble rot is a frequent occurrence, due to its mesoclimate. Even so, production is a hit-or-miss proposition, with widely varying harvests from year to year.
Here i would like to introduce the 'godess', the mighty fan fried 'foie gras' + a glass of 'Sauternes'. It's almost like having a multiple giant orgasm!!!! well.... maybe even better. Ooooopps......
